Mark your calendars to attend one of Downtown Canandaigua’s most popular festivals – the Canandaigua Art & Music Festival!  This three day festival has been running for more than 20 years and gets thousands of visitors who come to experience a one-of-a-kind blend of art, music, food and fun.

One of the things that makes this festival unique is that it offers a juried art show and the musical performers are hired by a talent agency, so you can expect only the best in art and entertainment.

The artisans exhibiting this year include woodworking companies like Ms. Sticks and Log Lamps, and jewelry exhibitors such as Finger Lakes Jewelry, Blossom Be Jeweled, Magnetic Connections and Crystal Creations.  There’ll be photographers, potters, painters, and just an amazing array of artisans. The jury selects exhibitors based on  quality of products and diversity of offerings as well as price points.

If you love good music, this is a must-attend event.  The performers at the festival offer music for every taste from pop and rock to big band and from the R&B to vintage jazz.  These musicians can be caught performing anywhere from local and regional clubs, to clubs in New York City and beyond.  A number of the groups also performed at this year’s Rochester International Jazz Festival.

If you’ve got children, there’s plenty of excitement for them as well! Kids Korridor is located in the parking lot next to the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce and provides hands on activities for kids as well as live entertainment on the family stage.

And of course, no festival is complete without food!  We can almost smell those festival-food smells wafting through our doors now.

The festival takes place in Downtown Canandaigua from Friday through Sunday on July 17-19 and there is no fee to attend or to enjoy the music. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.  For the full schedule, visit the Canandaigua Art & Music Festival website.

And of course, Wick-edly Sent will be participating in the festival – We wouldn’t miss it!  Please stop in to visit us  under our tent at the Canandaigua Art & Music Festival.
